Specialty Surgery Center is proud to announce the recent Board of Managers approval to add Dr. Stephen Spitzer to the Medical Staff of Specialty Surgery Center of CNY.   

Dr. Spitzer received his MD degree in 2000 from SUNY Health Science Center.  He then did an ophthalmology residency at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY and graduated in June 2004.  He then continued his education and attended a Corneal Fellowship at Cornea Consultants of Albany, Albany NY and graduated in June 2005. 

Dr. Spitzer joined the practice of Syracuse Eye Consultants at 1101 Erie Blvd East, Syracuse, NY in August 2005.  Dr Spitzer specializes in External Diseases of the Eye, Corneal Transplant and Cataract Surgery.  He also sees patients at a satellite office in Fulton NY.  He is fully credentialed to do surgery at Specialty Surgery Center of CNY and performed his first cases here on April 13, 2006.
