Specialty Surgery Center of CNY was established in February 1998 as a free standing Ambulatory Surgery Center and opened for business on December 6, 1999.  The Center is wholly owned by a group of eight ophthalmologists.

Twelve surgeons perform ophthalmic surgery with the assistance of 32 employees at the Surgery Center.  The procedures performed at the Center are:

• Cataract Surgery

• Corneal Transplant Surgery

• Eye Muscle (Strabismus) Surgery

• Eye Plastic Surgery

• Excimer Laser Surgery

• Glaucoma Surgery

• Yag Laser Surgery
