Specialty Surgery Center of CNY was established in February 1998 as a free standing Ambulatory Surgery Center and opened for business on December 6, 1999.  The Center is wholly owned by a group of seventeen physicians.

Sixteen surgeons perform ophthalmic surgery, one performs ENT surgery, and one performs pain management procedures with the assistance of 50 employees at the Surgery Center.  The procedures performed at the Center are:

• Cataract Surgery

• Corneal Transplant Surgery

• Eye Muscle (Strabismus) Surgery

• Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

• Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgery

• Glaucoma Surgery

• Yag Laser Surgery

• Pain Management
